Day 1: Arrival- Arusha.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge. Settle into your accommodation, ready to start your safari journey proper in the morning.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Today start your safari. After an early breakfast, you drive to Tarangire National Park with packed lunch for a game drive. This lovely park has the largest concentrations of elephants in the world and the highest number of breeding bird species. Especially during the dry season, Tarangire National park is packed with wildlife. Big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, but also the seldom seen Kudu, Oryx, and Gerenuk. The Tarangire River draws huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, as well as predators who prey upon them. Later in the afternoon, you drive to Tarangire Maromboi Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Tarangire National Park
Full day game drive in Tarangire National with picnic lunch. This lovely park has the largest concentrations of elephants in the world and the highest number of breeding bird species. Day 4: Lake Manyara/Mtowambu.
After breakfast, you will drive to Mtowambu town on the floor of the Great rift valley, for a guided village tour. In this small but very busy town where people belonging to all 120 tribes in Tanzania live together, you will have the opportunity to see the typical daily life of Tanzanians. Your walking guide who comes from that area will take you to rice and banana plantations where you will interact with the people working in their farms, you will visit a traditional beer bar/factory, you will visit a school and carvings factory where the famous “Makonde” use ebony black wood to carve different statues. You will then continue to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch. In this small but very beautiful park with the dense forest, you will have the opportunity to see lots of monkeys, giraffes, elephants, impalas, dik-dik, flamingos in the lake, and if you are lucky you may spot the rare tree-climbing lions. You will later continue to Ngorongoro Farm House Valley for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch and drive to Ngorongro Crater for a game drive. Animals in the Ngorongoro crater include pride of lions, clans of hyenas, packs of jackals, crashes of hippos, dazzles of zebras, herds wildebeests, bulls of elephants often with incredibly long tusks because of the highly nutritious grass rich in minerals, and many more animals. It is also the best place to spot the rare black rhino. In the late afternoon, you will drive to Ngorongoro Farm House Valley for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Depart this morning after breakfast to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch/Visiting Maasai Village. This part is famous for the abundance of lions and leopards that can usually be seen quite easily. Game viewing in this central area is spectacular all year round. Enjoy the views of endless plains and stunning wildlife like cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos, ostrich, aardvark, pangolin and many more. Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge.
Day 7: Serengeti National Park
Wake up early in the morning for a cup of coffee/tea and snacks then collect your picnic breakfast and depart for a game drive. Animals are normally seen right from the camp and in the early morning, you still have chances to see them active. Serengeti is the park with the largest concentration of big mammals in the world and it is where you will see most of your exciting wildlife. The sightings in the central Serengeti will include pride of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hippos, impalas, dik-dik, monkeys, baboons, gazelles, warthogs, and many more. You will return to camp for hot lunch and a short siesta, then depart for another game drive in the afternoon. In the evening again you will seat with your guide at the fireplace and get some information about Tanzania from the pre-colonial time to independence until now. Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge.
Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, you drive to Seronera Airport for your flight to Arusha(Flight booked by Above & Beyond Photographic Tours And Safaris Ltd), arriving in time for lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge. After lunch, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.
